Awesomeness

This afternoon I had a great conversation with the pastor of the church I'm going to about convenant partnership and how to give my time within that community. It's going to be cool to be connected with some of the worship planning and psssibly with the upcoming retreat.

Tomorrow is a short day at work. :)

I have all weekend off!!!

WOOT!

I got my first graded paper back from grad school and I did much better than I expected. It was certainly agonizing to write and some of it was definitely a stretch and bs. But it got me an 8.9 out of 10 so, YIPPEE!!!

What I know

I guess I thought I posted sometime last week, but according to blogger that didn't happen. Currently I have entered week three of classes and all my reading is done for them. :) This doesn't mean that I retained anything I read, but at least I read.

Classes are much harder than I thought. For some reason I was equating it to working in my head, you get a project, you do it, you move on. Now everything you do is supposed to become a part of you so you are more effective in the field. That's alot more time consuming and draining especially when it comes to my human development class and I begin to analyze myself and everyone around me.

Assistantship part a is boring as usual. Assistantship part b keeps me on my toes whether it's dealing with a leaky airconditioner and the damage to the room below it, to checking in on our sleepwalker or getting students in trouble for throwing trash out of a window.

My Girl Scout paperwork is in process and the local service unit is hosting a recruitment event this week which should give me a clearer picture of the local needs.

Within the church community I am part of they are hosting covenant partner conversation day, essentially a new member class, which I am attending. I don't know if I'm quite ready to give up my membership at home, but I haven't live there for so long that it's time, yet I'm only here for two years.

That's a small glimpse of the past couple weeks and what's been developing here.
