Transition

Changes seem to be a constant in my life, from not knowing if I'll get an emergency call and need to drop everything to respond to it, to my frequent travel plans and then the big change, moving again. Over the past couple weeks I've informed the coworkers and some friends what is going on. These past 24 hours I've begun informing my youth who are supportive so far and share I'll be missed. Some other conversations GOd has blessed me with because I'm able to see how He's used me here even when I don't go preaching. My work is about done and back to the north I go!

Kind of Appropriate

It seems fitting that my last post was on NYWC and today was the day I finally scrapbooked my pictures from the event. For a couple of weeks I've been craving the chance to blog, be creative and get my thoughts out there, but so far it hasn't happened.

We are now about 2 weeks into the last stretch to the end of the school year and its hard to imagine that some students will be leaving here in May that I've known since day 1 of working here. Spring break was a bit untraditional as I departed the warm climate of NC to the land of snow & flurries in upstate NY. Without the craziness of life I forget to stop and just be sometimes. Break forced that upon me in some ways without having a car, computer, 200 or so students around to care for, or alot of friends around (at least once I got to my parents home). By the time I came back I was ready to transition to things that needed to happen here.

Maybe I shouldn't have been since only 4 days later started one of the insanistic times we have had. Quick summary- students and not wise choices with alcohol, police involved, other students who needed ER visits, one staff member out of town and I am thrilled to have a day off!!!
